And no, that's not a typo.

Jack, the son of a thief who stole some golden eggs from a giant you might have heard about, has been failing his lessons in princess-rescuing. Jack didn't like royalty. Why did they need to be rescued anyway? They were all stuck-up and annoying. If he didn't have to marry a princess, he would probably be better off.

At least, that's what he thought.

Until he had to rescue royalty himself.

While arguing with his grandfather about adventuring, Jack says that if adventure is supposed to find HIM, instead of him finding adventure, that he should be able to stick out his arms and a princess will fall into them.

And that's exactly what happens.

Well.... except that Jack didn't ACTUALLY catch her.

His grandfather told him to work on that.

But she wasn't like any princess HE'D ever seen. Not that'd he'd seen many.

A girl with blond hair and blue streaks, and a shirt labeled "Punk Princess" had fallen to the ground from the sky. He mused the blue hair must be magic.

And naturally, the ONLY way to wake up a princess was to kiss them.

So that's what Jack did.

The princess was a bit upset about that. And why there was a fairy, which Jack didn't fully understand. And that her grandmother was missing.

And that someone was hunting them both.

This series is by James Riley (or so we assume). He's also the author of the Story Thieves series. Or so we assume.

His author's notes and acknowledgement pages make us wonder whether or not he's even a real person... but you'll have to read those for yourself.

I've only read the first book in the trilogy, but they are definitely cute and SUPER hilarious. This book will definitely make you laugh.

Content-wise: again, pretty clean. Some violence, but otherwise pretty good, and really entertaining.

Anyways,

Happy Reading!
