Tatum Elsea, a sixteen year old girl, has gotten into some trouble. Not that she meant to. In fact, none of it was really HER fault. But try telling that to her dad & stepmom.

Her best friend, Ashlyn, was dating a pretty shady guy... and Tatum definitely didn't approve. Ashlyn wanted to go to the store with Chase, and Tatum decided to drive. Better that than leaving her alone with him.

So when Ashlyn's boyfriend stole some phones from the store, and with Tatum driving.... well... it looked like she was sort of the getaway car. She had no clue that Chase was going to steal anything. And honestly? She wanted to keep herself and Ashlyn as far away from him as possible.

Nevertheless, even though she wasn't REALLY involved, those actions came with consequences. Including the most grounded she'd been in her life.

Over. The. SUMMER.

With her father on a trip, her step-grandmother home, her step sister, Tilly, and her ridiculous stepmother, Belen, around, she didn't know if she'd survive it.

And Ashlyn...

Ashlyn wouldn't even talk to her.

Tatum was ready to be in for a long, boooooooorrrrriiiiinnnngggg summer.

She would have to do some community service work, (which, okay, couldn't be THAT bad) and earn enough money to pay the fine for her "sentence" by the end of summer.

So, she decides to start her own freelance design company.

Let's just say she has a Cinderella Story of her own.

Content: I can't remember anything in here really alarming. They ARE teenagers, so there may be a few snarky comments, but I remember this book being pretty awesome.

Let me know what you think!
